We celebrate the so-called "imperfections" that make us humans - and gemstones! - unique and special. Each piece is a handmade original, with natural variances that make it as one-of-a-kind as the person rocking it.

Due to this bespoke nature and custom quality, all sales are final.

Materials

Natural gems. Hand-knotted silk. Wearable art, with each one-of-a-kind piece reflecting the hands that lovingly crafted it. Modern heirlooms, designed to evolve over time as they develop the patina of life, shaped by the memories made while rocking them.

Care Instructions

*OVERALL JEWELRY CARE*

To prolong the life of your jewels:

Remove your jewelry at night, and before bathing, swimming or working out.

Avoid contact with alcohol-based products such as hand sanitizer, hair spray, insect repellent, chlorine, perfumes, sunscreen and lotions.

Many at-home jewelry cleaning devices, steamers or ultrasonic machines can often do more harm than good, and ammonia can damage and discolor gemstones, so avoid abrasive cleaners.

*14K GOLD CARE*

14K gold is naturally tarnish resistant, but can lose luster over time. To keep your pieces looking their shiny best, routinely wipe your 14K jewels with a very soft, untreated, lint-free cloth.

*TAHOE GEMSTONE PENDANT CARE*

These beauties' mermaid days are behind them, so please keep them DRY. No splish-splashing in the shower, swimming pool, sauna, or sweaty workouts while rocking your jewels.

And let's steer clear of chemical products like perfumes, lotions, and hairspray, 'cause they don't play nice with your precious gems.

When your jewels need a rest from conquering the world with you, store them in their original pouch for a little R&R and safekeeping. And when they need a spa day, a soft jewelry cloth will work wonders.

Tragically, we are mere mortals and can't work magic on broken jewels, so pretty please follow these golden rules to keep your gorgeous stones + gorgeous self happy.

*PEARL CARE*

The best way to maintain your pearls' luster is by rocking them! Pearls love your body's natural oils.

While you can wash your pearls with mild soap (not detergent) and a soft cloth, the silk cords they're hand-knotted on do not love baths as much, so it's best to only do this periodically. Be sure to rinse them in clean water until all soap is gone, and rest them on a thin, soft, untreated cloth to dry them.

*OPAQUE GEMSTONE CARE*

Opaque gemstones like malachite, turquoise, opals and lapis are most susceptible absorbing chemicals (which cause discoloration and damage), and require the gentlest care.

Store opals in your jewelry box or the packaging they arrive in, as prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause discoloration.

Opaque gems (especially turquoise and opals) are generally softer, so it's important to treat them with care and steer clear of impact on hard surfaces.

Never use at-home jewelry cleaning devices, ultrasonic cleaners or chemicals like bleach or ammonia.

Opaque gems should only be wiped clean with a damp, untreated, soft lint-free cloth.

It's especially important to avoid hair spray, lotion, sunscreen, perfume, insect repellent and chlorine with opaque gemstones, since they are most vulnerable to absorbing chemicals over time, which can affect the quality and appearance of your jewelry.

*DIAMOND + TRANSLUCENT GEMSTONE CARE*

Do not use ammonia on gems, since it can discolor and damage them.

While you can wash your translucent gems (like sapphires, rubies, citrine and diamonds) with mild soap (not detergent), and brush any dirt away gently with a soft-bristle toothbrush, the silk cords they're hand-knotted on do not love baths as much, so it's best to only do this periodically.

Be sure to rinse them in clean water until all soap is gone, pat-dry and rest them on a thin, soft, untreated cloth to dry them.

*ENAMEL CARE*

Please avoid extreme cold or heat with your fine jewelry pieces featuring enamel, as it can cause them to melt or crack.

To maximize the enamel detailing's life expectancy, we also recommend avoiding contact with alcohol-based products such as hand sanitizer, hair spray, insect repellent, chlorine, perfumes, sunscreen and lotions.

*SEMI-FINE JEWELRY CARE*

Gold-filled jewelry is an affordable alternative to solid gold. While gold-filled is higher quality, and significantly more durable and longer-lasting, than gold-plated and vermeil - like any added finish, it will fade with wear over time, especially in areas that regularly come in contact with your skin. (Lotion, sunscreen, perfume, chlorine, insect repellent, hair spray and hand-sanitizer expedite this process, so "last on, first off" is a good general rule of thumb!)

*HAND-KNOTTED SILK NECKLACES*

Please lay flat to store.

As silk naturally stretches over time, each cord is carefully pre-stretched and your necklace is knotted tightly to account for this, and give your necklace the most wear-and-tear possible; the "kinks" and bends will straighten out gradually, every time it's worn.

The best way to prolong your necklace's life expectancy is to let it lay down and rest when its not being worn.

Just like your own beautiful self, even the strongest of gems will eventually need some R&R or they will break... We recommend re-stringing every 2-3 years, or annually if they're out making an impact on the world with you daily. Please message us if it is time to re-string and re-build! (If it has been less than 6 months since the time of purchase, we will happily restore at no additional cost.)
